Advocacy…
In addition to working at the federal level, Citizens United has representation at local planning and zoning board meetings and constantly maintains communication with regulatory agencies. The most significant result of CU’s advocacy efforts is that many river communities have adopted local river management plans which support the coexistence of preservation and economic use and deliver the message that there is something special about our rivers that is worth protecting!
